Dear Mr. President:

I am writing this letter for below three requests using my first individual and defense rights that secured by the “First Amendment of the Constitutional” for “freedom of expression” and “every human being has a right to live in dignity and prosperity.

My three Requests are:
1) Ratification of the Republic of Turkey by the U.S. Senate.
2) Withdrawing of the Armenian Resolution from the U.S. House and Senate considerations forever.
3) The Annual U.S. President’s Speech on the Armenian Claims in reference to the 1915 should not continue or equally should represent the loses of the Ottomans and Turks as well as all to respect and include all other major casualties within the related date/s that were caused by the U.S. and other imperial powers throughout the 20th Century, and up today. A Search Of Peace and Harmony, through Ethics and Decency versus Politics and Duplicity – Presentation made by: Sükrü Server AYA

Sukru Server Aya

Sukru Server Aya

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Thank you for sharing this time with me in your busy daily lives. A Turkish proverb says “for friendship, animals sniff but humans talk to each other”! As you may know, I am a listener, a reader, an average concerned decent person like you. I am no teacher, preacher, and not even a speaker and you can see it from reading my speech I prepared as a conversation with you. I will make my introduction as short as possible so I or we can hear your questions and try to uncover truth.

To acquaint you with my principles, let me quote a sentence from page 43 of the e-book < Reconstruction in Turkey: A Series of Reports Compiled for the American Committee of Armenian and Syrian Relief (1918) William H. Hall (Editor). “American schools have aimed very decidedly at high standard of scholarship but their primary aim has been character building. Their training in morality and control has been their drawing card. >

Bilgi University Conference on Peace Initiative 9/4/2011

Bilgi Universitesi

Bilgi Universitesi

Another controversial conference took place at the Bilgi University where several foreign Professors spoke about their yearnings for the Sevr Agreement, ignoring the accomplishments of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk who prevented the establishment of a Kurdistan and Ermenistan, the dream of U.S. President Woodrow Wilson. Among those who sent messages to the Conference were Egemen Bagıs, Faruk Nafiz Ozak and İstanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas.

The star attraction was Rachel Dink, the wife of late Hrant Dink, who had spoken at the same hall during the infamous September 24-25, 2005 Conference. She stated that discrimination based on ethnic or religious background still persists and claimed that the Turks owe an apology to the Armenians for the events of 1915, forgetting that the Armenian rebels started the massacres and were the cause of the Armenian re-locations. Perhaps, a collective apology, including all the Western powers who instigated the issue plus the Armenians together with the Turks should apologise for all the wrongdoings, as was suggested earlier. The Second Move in the 2011 Genocide Obfuscation Gambit?

Sukru Aya

Sukru Aya

At about this time every year the Turkish government engages in political antics, the purpose of which is to counter any incremental success Armenians have achieved in their quest for recognition of the Turkish genocide of 1.5 million Armenians.

The Governments for the past 40 years have not taken this fabricated accusation (without any legal or documented foundation)…nor the absurdity of killing 1.5 millions out of a total of 1.3  or 1.4 millionsl population but leaving a balance of 1.4 millions living at the end of 1921. Somebody is deliberately lying!

During April 1915, under the guise of World War I, the Turkish government condemned the entire Armenian citizenry under its jurisdiction, and some of the neighboring lands, to extermination. The crime and denial of genocide isn’t a game, but international relations is a contest. [Read more...]

Would Armenia like to Solve the Nagorno Karabakh Conflict? What is the Armenian 100 Year Strategy?

Sinan OĞAN

Sinan OĞAN

Many countries have their own strategic plans for their problems which they deem significant. While sometimes states represent explicitly these strategies, in some cases they choose not expressing and even hiding. In this context, the strategies of Armenia with regard to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the normalization process with Turkey is widely concerned. Are the remarks of Armenia about the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and normalization process of relations between Turkey and Armenia same with Armenia’s genuine intentions and strategies? Finding an answer requires a careful analysis and specification of according strategies.

One shall accept or deny, but the current normalization process with Turkey and Armenia is interrelated with the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Therefore, the solution should be pursued in parallel with the issue. Then, is the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is really a desired move? Before responding to this query, one should comprehend the strategy of Armenia with regard to the normalization process of the relations with Turkey. For this, one should also comprehend the Armenian Hundred Year Plan which can be considered as a superior strategy and a major project.

2015 Bitmeyen Sorun (Never Ending Issue), Part I By Orhan Urgenc, 2009

Orhan Urgenc

The book, first introduced during the October 2009 Book Fair in Istanbul , is new on the Armenian issue by a Turkish researcher and writer, assisted by his daughter Tomris. I started reading the book during the first leg of a month long Train tour of Turkey that started on December 17, 2009 in Ankara . It is a very long book, in Turkish, and 584 pages. It covers the Ottoman period from 1820s to 1923. The author, who also attended the   Adana 1909 Symposium in Adana on December 5, stated that the book was referred  to by several organisations as the most comprehensive book on the Armenian issue.

The book opens with a commentary on “Tarih Bilinci – The Conscious of History”, followed by 39 chapters (although not numbered) on subjects related to different subjects and the many aspects of the Armenian issue. The next 4 chapters presents some aspects of the Armenian History and the arrival of Turks in Anatolia and the Armenian resistance. Chapter 5 presents a summary of Turkish – Armenian relations and Chapter 6 describes the events in the Middle East to which the author refers to as the Centre of the Issue (Arzin Merkezi), where the pot has been boling for the past 4,000 years. The author describes the impact of the three major religions that are based on the teachings of  Prophet Abraham (Hz. Ibrahim), the aims of the Christians and Jews in the region and now the presence of United States primarily to control the flow of oil to the world markets.

The Turkish Historical Society held a two day Symposium in Ankara on June 26/27, 2009 with the participation of speakers with different views. Several Turkish organisations including the Gomidas Institute from London also held a workshop on November 6/7, 2009 at the Sabanci Museum in Istanbul, ” called, “Adana 1909: History, Memory and Identity from a Hundred Year Perspective.” (1) I attended the Ankara and Istanbul conferences partially and the Adana conference on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, Dec 11/12, 2009. Below is a brief summary of the Adana Symposium.

Istanbul Academy Workshop – Adana 1909: History, Memory and Identity from a Hundred Year Perspective.

The “In Our Pages” section of the International Herald Tribune (2/10/2009), published a re-print of a news article dated 1909 from Constantinople, “1909 Turkish Exodus” which states:

The non-Mussulmans, who must now serve in the Turkish army, will be enrolled next week. This project has already caused a considerable number of young man to flee to foreign countries. They can secure exemption by a payment of LT50, but as they are not able to do this may have prepared to leave the country. Military service, during which they would be forced to live in the same barrack rooms with Mussulmans, inspires terror among the young Greeks, Armenians and Israelites of good family, for their manners and customs differ totally.

The above is just one example of the behaviour of non-Mussulmans only a year after the declaration of Mesrutiyet (Constitutional Monarchy) in 1908 which gave equal rights to Turks, Armenians, Greeks and Israelites, as the IHT refers to the Jews living in Turkey. However, the Armenians took advantage of the new freedom and purchased loads of guns and ammunition (as mentioned in Mrs Fyfe’se small book on her experience in Turkey as a teacher at the American High School0 and began to act on a project to create a Kingdom of Cyclia in the region around Adana. The events that began in 1909 have been told by different people in different ways, some even going as far as stating that the Ottomans started the fight to exterminate the Armenians, which is a flat lie.

A Histriocal Record … By Ayhan Ozer

Recently, on occasion of the “Turkish Cultural Season” celebrations in France, the daily “Le Monde” published a series of interviews with the Armenians, all of which viciously attacking Turkey. An intense campaign in France against the Turkish history and heritage is underway. Unscrupulously, Le Monde has not made any attempt to bring some balance and sense to those outrageous pronouncements.

This brings to mind an interview conducted in 1993 by the same Le Monde with the eminent Turkish and Middle East historian Bernard Lewis. In the aftermath of this interview Mr. Lewis was sued by the Armenian organizations on the grounds of denial the Armenian genocide, which the Armenians conveniently equate with the Holocaust. This preposterous court action yielded nothing. The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post criticized France in their editorials. I found in my file an account of this episode which may serve as background information, and establish a history. I hope you will find of interest. Please read on.
